Roles & Responsibilities
This section of the Blueprint for Change Online Manual will guide you through a process of creating an action plan to utilize service and volunteering to address community needs and to put the overall plan into writing.
The action planning coordinator needs to identify people who can be involved in the action planning committee. Ideally, some of these should be people who have been involved in the assessing needs and/or mapping assets. The committee is responsible for:
- Reviewing the needs assessment and asset mapping data, analysis, and priorities
- Creating a subcommittee for each of the priority needs and activating various stakeholder groups to participate on these committees
- Providing categories that should be included in the plans to address each priority need
- Assisting subcommittees with organizing various methods of getting community input on the action plan
- Writing the action plan
