Citizen Review
The results of the asset mapping process should be publicly posted. Citizens should be informed of all the ways they can view data (e.g. electronic map online, physical map at city hall, and printed spreadsheets at libraries). The review process should include an opportunity for stakeholders’ feedback and comments. Citizens may be able to identify more assets to be added to the inventory on priority issues.
The review process does not need to be elaborate. However, citizens should have a set period of time to review data and provide feedback. To ensure that citizens know the information is available for review, utilize the strategies and mechanisms that were used to involved citizens in the needs assessment process. Review the Citizen Participation section for information.
